Foolishness

Fr. Jim Bradley, a deputy from Connecticut, who sits at my worship table noted that I was using a set of Anglican prayer beads. He said, "You're praying with The Beads." "Yes," I reply. "Amazing. A man of evident spirituality...and I thought that you were simply a fool."

I said, "What's the difference?"

We laughed.

This coming from a man who is wearing a t-shirt with a description of his parish: "dangerous mystics and radical spirituality."
