On November 23, 2008, Canadian Anglicans videotaped themselves singing "Amazing Grace" and then sent those videos to their General Synod offices in Toronto. Producer Lisa Barry compiled the submissions and this ten minute film is the result.
The most important result is not the video but the witness to unity in Christ that shows up in a remarkable variety of congregations, institutions and settings all over Canada and, in fact, the world.
While a handful of Anglicans contemplated schism and focus on what divides us, the Amazing Grace Project demonstrates what holds us together...our common faith in Jesus Christ.
