A161 as proposed is seriously flawed

I have just read the A161 that came into the calendar this morning. It has some fatal flaws: no accountability that the listening process is actually the listening process; and there is no time line for us to check on the process. It also emphasizes the act of the ordination of gays as opposed to the process of remaining in communion. I beleive this is contrary to what I learned from the Archbishop of York that we should focus on process and not on sex.

As it stands, I would propose the substitution of the original A161, language-of-caution-and-all, and not the piece as proposed.

Back to work.
